Jackie Wilson
Director, Admissions, Illinois MBA
Jackie has worked in MBA Admissions for almost ten years. In her prior life she was a teacher so she has been in academia for her entire career. What she enjoys most about her job is meeting new people and discussing how the Illinois MBA can make a difference in their future. Her most enjoyable part of the year is when the new students show up for orientation and she stands back to watch the dynamics of the new class. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, reading, and visiting her children and grandson.
Ben Moreland
Associate Director, Admissions & Recruiting, Illinois MBA
Ben has been working in the MBA admissions office since January 2006. He originally moved to Champaign in 2001 to accept a job as an English teacher at Champaign Central High School, but left Champaign in 2004 to pursue a Masters in Literature and gain some global experience by attending Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Upon returning from Ireland, he found the opportunity to start a career in MBA admissions, and has found it to be a great fit. Ben is now specifically responsible for international recruiting, and he enjoys meeting prospective MBA students from all over the world. Last year, he had the opportunity to travel to Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys playing a variety of sports including golf, softball, basketball, volleyball, and long-distance running. He is an avid fan of the Fighting Illini as well as the White Sox, Bulls, and Bears. He also enjoys trying new foods and welcomes recommendations for tasty dishes from local restaurants (feel free to ask him for recommendations as well).
